The Microsoft AI-901 exam (also written AI 901) tests foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning on Microsoft Azure. It covers seven skill areas: AI Workloads and Considerations (15–20%), Fundamental Principles of Machine Learning on Azure (20–25%), Computer Vision Workloads (15–20%), Natural Language Processing Workloads (15–20%), Generative AI Workloads (15–20%), Document Intelligence and Knowledge Mining (10–15%), and Agentic AI Workloads (5–10%).
